Excitement Brewing Like A Fine Tea
August 30, 2008 -- Last we heard from our intrepid friends, they had just penned an ode to that finest of bat-and-ball games, cricket. The summer has been quiet, but the best work is done in secret. Please observe the following announcements, made for your pleasure:
- The band has grown by two members: Lara Marulus and her identical twin sister Lena. Lara plays the cello, Lena plays the trumpet. Expect their biographies to be posted soon.
- The date for the local, Fort Collins release of Love Will Tear Us To Shreds - Act II: The Genre Of Silence (and the corresponding live performance of it) has been set for October 31, 2008.
See you soon. Long Live the vee Revolution.
Cricket In Fort Collins
February 24, 2008 -- Fort Collins is up to its eyeballs in cricket. No, we're not talking about the shiny black insects, but the sport. Thanks to Sir Allen Stanford, every Fort Collins citizen has the opportunity to watch, learn about, and enjoy the Stanford 20/20 Cricket Tournament. What's more, local denizens can win prizes and swag galore if only they wander around the local establishments showing the various cricket matches. Fun times for sure.
In honor of this unique set of circumstances, vee and &roid have concocted an ode to Stanford 20/20 as a metaphor for broken love. It's called "Hindsight Is Not Stanford 20/20." Download it in the A/V Dept.
