On The First Day of Mixing, An &roid Said To Me...

December 11, 2005 -- As you can see to your right (our left), there are some new shows being posted. Throughout the holiday season, we will be adding to this list (and checking it twice), thereby cobbling together a tour of sorts. In other words, keep your wondering eyes glued to the 'Live' page. Hopefully, we'll be coming to a city near you to raise a great clatter. If you find your city underrepresented, drop us a line and we'll see what we can do.

The EP is nearing completion. &roid recently finished inserting synth goodness into one of the tracks. Yes, that's right - the ever-classic Yamaha PSS-270. Just as soon as we're done mixing and mastering, we'll post the fruits of our labors in the A/V section for all you hepcats to enjoy. In the meantime, happy holidays to all and to all a good night.

A New EP

November 21, 2005 -- To celebrate the completion of the Basement Studios v2.0, the band has decided to record an EP just for you. It is as yet untitled, but should be available early next year in two exciting formats: vinyl and digital. Get your turntables ready. We predict discotheques across the nation will be spinning these wicked tunes for years to come.

Living Rooms As Rivers Loom

November 13, 2005 -- The Living Room Tour has begun. Friday's show was a smashing success. To get vee device to play a show in your living room, send an email to LivingRoomTour at veedevice.com. Sign up quickly as dates are being snapped up like hotcakes in a lumberjack camp.

In website happenings, two mp3s from the aforementioned show have been added to the A/V Dept. There is a new story in the Tales section. And, at long last, the Crafts section has finally been completed. We've been industrious.

A Momentus Week

November 6, 2005 -- Gadzukes. What a week it's been. Today, for instance, vee and &roid had the great fortune of seeing Hilary Hahn and Natalie Zhu in concert. An amazing show indeed -- if you have never heard of them, you need to rectify that immediately. Get their recording of the Mozart Violin Sonatas. Then, if you're feeling particularly bold, pick up a copy of Ms. Hahn's Barber and Meyer Violin Concertos. (It's one of &roid's most favorite recordings.)

What's more, after the show, vee spoke briefly with Ms. Hahn, and passed along a copy of AOADB. &roid was jealous; but, alas, he had to go host a symphony radio program, and thus, could not be present at said exchange. If you must know, &roid, she is an extremely gracious young woman.

Earlier in the week, after he received a copy of AOADB, the band got an emphatic note from Sir Paul McCartney which read: "vee device, keep playing." (We shall post the picture of the note as soon as it has been scanned in.) Until then, you'll just have to believe us.

You're probably saying "big deal" (insert sarcastic overtones) at this point. Well then, just listen to this. So inspired by Ms. Hahn's recital, vee device has come up with a plan sure to turn the music world upside-down and forever change the landscape of rock-n-roll. But we're not ones to tip our hands. Just remember this day, and know that we've warned you.

We apologize for not having finished the crafts section or the vee Store yet; this week has been much too exciting for that.

Ghoulish Pursuits

October 31, 2005 -- So here we are. All Hallows Eve. A day filled with all sorts of humans dressing as M&M's, ghosts, and the odd alien-ninja riding a triceratops. May your day be full of sugar.

In website happenings, the Fans section is now complete. If you are not a fan, you should think about becoming one -- it's great fun. Next on the agenda is the Crafts section. When we finish that, maybe we'll get around to our ghetto store.

This Friday, vee and &roid will be performing a special duo show at the Bean Cycle. If you arrive riding a "bean-cycle," we will sing your praises. Literally.

The Ardour Of Amore

October 24, 2005 -- What could be better than to begin and end the week with a show? The votes are in and they say: "not much." Thanks to everyone who spent their Friday evening at Ardour/Amore.

In website happenings, varying title bar pictures have been added to the top banner -- each section has its own exciting picture of the "V." What's more, an mp3 from Friday's show is up in the A/V Department. By the end of the week, we plan to have the Crafts and Fans sections completed for your perusal. Heck, we might even post some new dates. So do keep checking back.

Until we meet again.

Breakin' Down Breakdown

October 19, 2005 -- A big thank you to everyone who came out to the show at Breakdown on Monday night. You all were lovely, lovely people. We hope to see you again soon.

In website happenings, pictures have been added to the Tales section. There's a write-up on the Breakdown show posted -- even an mp3 or five as well. Work will continue throughout the week as we endeavor to keep spiffying things up.

That's all for now. We'll see you Friday at Cafe Amore. 7:30PM sharp. Bring a friend. Or a stranger.

Ba Ba Da Bum!!!

October 16, 2005 -- Yowza. Remember this day. We made good on our promise and got a new website up by the end of the week (Mountain Time).

What could be better than a brand new website? Hecklers in the crowd will say: "Pictures!" or "Actual Content!" However, we have chosen to ignore these gentle detractors for the time being. The pages you find here are the skeleton on which we will hang the meat of the website. So please, be patient. The rest of the pictures and whatnot should be up by the end of the week.

In the meantime, there are two shows of which you ought to be aware. Check out the "Live" section to learn about those.
