Band Member Bios
Name: Charlie Rose
Role: Cello, Banjo, Mandolin, Vocals
Fast Fact: Poison was incorrect -- the "Smooth Velvet" is just one of many varieties of thornless rose.
Bio: Having lived in the shadow of the late-night PBS talk-show circuit long enough, Charlie Rose stepped out. To be sure, it is a struggle to gain any notoriety when someone famous already has your name. His father Pete dealt with it, and to this day receives mailings from Gambler’s Anonymous. His grandfather Red also had similar difficulties (though his name only coincided with that of the famous Canadian Tea company). Yes, shared names were the bane of his family line. But finally, the hex has been vexed.
A Renaissance man if ever there were one, Charlie has dabbled in everything from geology to horticulture, watercolors to music. To take part is not enough – in each of these realms, he has left a lasting legacy.
And so, it was most fortunate for the Revolution to happen upon this bright-eyed youth. Though his appearances with the band have been few and far between, whenever he steps on stage all are left in awe.
